Paris Rooftops

Paris Rooftops
8x8 inches. (20x20cm)
Original painting sold.
Prints available from my Etsy Shop

This painting shows the view of some of the rooftops near the Pompidou Museum in Paris. I love the architecture and old building there and the soft yellows and greyish-blues are beautiful. One of the first things I noticed when I arrived in Paris was the incredible number of chimneys they have!

The Best Bread in the World - Verdens Bedste Brød

The Best Bread in the World aka No-knead Bread.
If you haven't yet tried it, give it a go. It's easy and very tasty and similar to what you might buy at a French bakery - tastes like a country style baguette! Find the recipe here.

Find opskrift og fremgangsmåde, klik her.

Mini Art Canvas Prints

My new Mini Canvas Prints. I'm so happy at how these small reproductions of my original paintings turned out! I make each one entirely by hand from the best materials by the artist herself, that's me :-) The prints are very detailed and the colors are beautiful and bright.  Now available from my Etsy shop :)

Lavender fields - Lavendel marker

Well maybe not quite a field - but enough to make a nice big bunch to hang up and dry. I love the smell of lavender, it reminds me so much of Provence.
~ ~ ~

Lavender is sometimes added to the French herb and spicemix called Herbs de Provence. Here is the recipe to make it yourself. Her er opskriften og blandingsforholdet.

  • 3 tablespoons oregano leaves / Oregano
  • 3 tablespoons thyme leaves / Timian
  • 1 teaspoon basil leaves/ Basilikum
  • 1 teaspoon sage leaf / Salvie
  • 3 tablespoons savory / Savoy
  • 2 tablespoons lavender flowers / Lavendel blomster
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary/ Rosmarin

Mix well and store in an airtight container in a dark, cool place. Some recipes contain fennel seeds or marjoram, experiment and find your own favorite combination.

Simple Accessories

Antique perfume bottles look gorgeous even without flowers. But dress them with a one or two flowers and you have a perfectly charming look. Other types of old or new bottles may be used as well.

Tarte au Citron - a French pastry experience.

I love Tarte au Citron. This one was sampled in Luxemborg Gardens in Paris. If you have been there you might recognize the green metal chair ;-)
